Requirements/Policies

Summer Requirements for PC Members 2012 – 2013

PC Dancers must attend 7 out of 9 weeks of class in order to remain on the Performing Company. Dancers must take the classes required by their individual instructor (i.e. Int. Jazz and Int./Adv. Jazz or Ballet 3 and Ballet Tech).

All PC Members: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling, PC Rehearsal

Juniors: Add Jumps/Turns 1 and Tech 1 Class

Elite and Senior Edition:  Add Jumps/Turns, Tech Class and Contemporary Class

Express and Senior: Add Jumps/Turns class, Tech Class, and Contemporary class

Only one Ballet Tech is required per dancer unless you are in Ballet 5.

Parade Camp is required for all PC at the discounted rate.

If there are any conflicts in your dancer’s individual schedule with the required classes listed above, they will be solved by Kristen and the instructors.

Each dancer that is chosen to be on Performing Company must be enrolled in:

  • Ballet
  • Tap
  • Jazz
  • Hip Hop
  • Tumbling
  • Performing Company Choreography Class

Depending on the group they are selected to be in, dancers may have additional requirements.

PC Dancers that do not have their right and left splits must take Flexibility or Yoga (exception if they are enrolled in another class at the time of both classes).

Seniors, Senior Edition, and Express dancers must take Technique.

Jumps/Turns class is highly suggested for Seniors and Senior Edition.

Dancers at any level of Performing Company may choose to do a solo, duo, or trio with the Instructor of their choice.

Dancers must maintain their attendance expectations in order to compete at competition with their groups. If a dancer has more than 2 absences in any one genre (ballet, jazz etc.), they will not be allowed to compete until they have done make-up classes.

Dancers must be up-to-date with tuition in order to register for optional competitions with solos, duos, or trios.

Dancers must be up-to-date with tuition in order to compete at required competitions.
